The Enterprise Monitoring team’s goal is to effectively and efficiently select and administer varied monitoring solutions that will proactively identify, prevent andor reduce infrastructure and application issues that cause business disruption. The team continually adapts their skills, knowledge, and toolset to identify monitoring solutions that will meet and exceed business needs. We measure the administrators’ value by their ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and continually adapt to the changing demands of the organization, both business and technological.
Implement and administer enterprise-grade monitoring solutions
Automate processes as much as possible to increase time to deliver pace
Development of custom scripts to enable the monitoring of complex processes & KPIs
Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution
Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes recovery procedures
Evaluates vendor-supplied software packages and makes recommendations
Collaborate with technology and business teams to gather monitoring requirements and deliver high quality, innovative and effective solutions (DEV, IT, TechOps, Business)
Make recommendations to improve performance, administration and life cycle management of EM tools
Contribute in incident & complaint troubleshooting process performing in-depth analysis
Solid hands-on experience and deep understanding of enterprise-grade monitoring systems and/or application administration (Zabbix, PRTG, Prometheus, Logs analytical platforms)
Solid experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language and in automation via scripting/programming (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python, .NET). Ability to develop scripts leveraging API’s, Windows & Linux tools, shell scripting to integrate products and fulfill custom monitoring requirements
Experience with the development of open-source projects or automation projects in a production environment
Experience in complex environments – Windows & Linux servers, cloud, on-premise and/or hybrid, K8s/Docker
Extraordinary analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define the problem, root cause analysis, define technology roadmaps and evaluate total-cost-of-ownership of solutions
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with any kind of experts & managers. Delivers information effectively in support of team or workgroup
It’s nice to have a good understanding of Microservices based environment, VMware infrastructure, Messaging Bus (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ or other), TCP/IP network, CDN, WAF, XML/JSON
